L.A.S.E.R.S.

I know everybody who has listened to more than ‘The Show Goes On’ off of Lupe’s third album has been hating on him, but how much can we really blame him? We all know about his well documented problems with Atlantic in the recording process; I mean the man claims he was specifically told by Atlantic: “Don’t rap too deep on this record.” Get rid of the cheap rock-rap crossover beats, the cloud of negativity that loomed over this album for the last 2 years, add maybe a little more classic Lupe storytelling and L.A.S.E.R.S. wouldn’t be such a bust. Still not on the level of Food and Liquor and The Cool, but a lot closer.

Point being: Don’t Fault Lupe.
